Happy new month to you folks. May stands for Grace. Extend grace to others as you also seek grace from others.
One of my favourite catholic hymns is the Hold forth song. “Hold the fort for I am coming, Jesus signals to us”. How do I chose to remember this song always is to keep fighting the battles till the help comes, to steady on the race till I see the finish line, to break stop, rise again and forge ahead with eyes on the prize, to keep the heart yearning for trueness even in the midst of NO’s, fakeness, uncertainties, waiting , to keep watch, steadfast in faith, joyful in hope and keep shooting for the stars.
“By the Grace we will”. As may represents grace, by the grace we will achieve our goals if we decide to shoot properly. Often times, we have just one bullet left in us as we build the company, business, the relationship, taking the risky investment, taking the Solo trip, using up our last savings to register for that course, travel, buy that long term desire, in between this, we must ensure that the one bullet of faith of risk, of love, of giving it another shot hits the target. This is what is expected of us, this is what we ordinarily should work towards, be at the forefront of our heart yearnings, roaring in our minds, our resolve to do it right and if we miss what happens? We die in ourselves, maybe again, extend some grace to yourself. I will, you should.
“Guide your fort”, the free flow of excellence comes from here. From my last birthday, I was dazed at how much people believe in me and in my thoughts, I resonate with the part that we should not idolize those we look up to, we are deeply flawed. Regardless of how much I think those words were true, I was flawed but was also reminded that I only think as though I am nothing when actually, I have achieved quite a lot, maybe not as I have expected and this where comparison steals and rapes us of joy, the joy of the presence. Guide your energy bank, the source that gives you motivation to keep fighting, to keep up with excellence, to thrive for more, be who you truly are, to be strong and where you have resolved to give life your everything to excel, guide those part well.
“Mighty ones around us falling, courage almost gone”. Great people are being overthrown, from sex scandals, to reports of financial misappropriation, to abuse of office, to been victims of bad politics, to unjust criticism, to been difficult to consistently hold on to the standard they preached about, spoke about, chastised about, the mighty men are falling and there is a tendency to lose hope, to lose strength, to lose words. Businesses are wounding up, courage to build or keep at is is depleting, its difficult, there is a global recession but yet, extend grace to yourself this month, a little more belief, a little more push could be the saving not to crumble and fall as well.
“Fierce and long the battle rages”, the battles of self-doubt, of self-belief, of hope and of strength. The battles extends as much as we stay in the battlefield. It becomes fiercer as we dwell in them. Breaks lose, extend grace to yourself. IF you survive long enough to see tomorrow, it may bring the answers that seems so impossible today.
” See the glorious banner waving! Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader’s Name we triumph over every foe”. Growth, Peace, Love, Progress will come when we rave alongside the possibilities of it coming to past. In may, we get closer to our goals, we raise the banner as we stand up for happiness and joy, staying bullish, attracting the right people and the right opportunities.
“Onward comes our great Commander, cheer, my comrades, cheer!”. Help is on the way, cheer up, every CEO, business owner, career person has made one mistake or the other, in March, I decided to change city for the first time in years, as much as I love to travel, I did not know making such a decision was going to be difficult and one month in, I have had fair share of days of why? What if? Isn’t this one of those mistakes? But a fresh day, a fresh month offers us clean slate to keep forging ahead.
Remember, the challenges that we face expresses to us to that we are trying, we are moving, pushing and if you want to be great, keep fighting for it. There is an innate desire to be great when we decided to launch that company, to start that business, to start that career and to do what exactly what we are currently doing. Do not quit unless you don’t want to be great.
Beloved, hold the fort.
Your guy,
Olajide
